Professor Sinha’s colleagues, collaborators and friends, are very happy to announce a satellite symposium prior to SXNS-11 to celebrate his 70th birthday. Professor Sinha is recognized for his seminal work using neutron and x-ray scattering techniques to address important problems in diverse fields of condensed matter physics including complex fluids, magnetism, superconductivity, surfaces and interfaces. His research is distinguished by a strong interplay between innovative experimental techniques and novel theoretical approach. This whole-day symposium will bring together many of his colleagues, collaborators, and former post-docs and students presenting their most current research inspired by the work of Sunil Sinha. The distinguished list of speakers is being assembled and will be announced shortly.
